Do Not Disturb (DND) is a handy feature on most phones that lets you mute calls and notifications for a period of time. It's perfect for situations like meetings, bedtime, or just wanting some quiet focus. But DND can be a bit confusing, so here's a quick FAQ to help you master it:
To enable do-not-disturb, dial the "DND Activate" feature code (''*78'') on the phone you want to activate DND.
The settings will be read back to you to confirm them then hang up.
Callers will get your "busy" voicemail greeting when calling (this is a different greeting than your normal "unavailable" voicemail greeting). You can record your own custom "busy" greeting (using the PBX online portal or voicemail settings) or leave the default greeting, which is a system announcement that the person is on the phone followed by a beep. The caller can then leave a voice message.
